AWESOME website. Didn’t crack a book because they make me fall asleep.
I feel like I actually learned this material because of the review-question set up of the interactive course guide. Aced my acls
    recertification

This is the best investment I have ever made. I never thought I would be able to certify for ACLS. I signed up for your website less than a month ago, and I passed the exam with a 92. Great work on breaking it down to simplify it completely. I will recommend it to everyone I know..
    God Bless You!

I took ACLS today for the first time in quite a few years.
I found your website while looking for a site to practice rhythm recognition about a month ago. Your site is fantastic – well worth the small charge to have access to the entire site. It is clear, concise and extrememly well organized. I went through the AHA ACLS book just to familiarize myself with it and it does not compare to the way your site is put together. The book is layer upon layer of information that is not organized well, along with a multitude of abbreviations. I did great on my test today, but even more importantly, I really came away with an excellent understanding of the ACLS algorithms and rhythm identification.
Thank you so much Jeff – I cannot imagine how much work went into developing this site and now how much work it takes to maintain it and update it.

Thank you so much for this review! IT REALLY WORKS. I’ll be honest, I crammed the night before having very little knowledge of ACLS. All I did was answer the practice questions. I passed my test on my first try, did well on the mock code, and was able to answer 95% of the questions in class/lecture questions.

Loved this ACLS course. I only had a few days to learn it and take megacode and test. I passed with an “A”. I will definitely use this site for testing in the future.

Thank you so much for your outstanding program. I’ve been a nurse for 15 years and have worked in reproductive health care. I had to take ACLS and I was beyond nervous and anxious about the class. I had zero knowledge of reading rhythm strips and failed the pretest AHA requires you to take before class. I purchased your 2 week access program and was incredibly well prepared for class. In fact, the college that was putting the class recommended your website. I couldn’t have been more prepared for the class. One of the instructors said that he hoped if he had a heart attack, it was at the office I worked out. I couldn’t believe it!!! I went first during the mega code and nailed it. I got a 98% on the written exam. I can’t thank you enough. I will absolutely be back when it’s time to renew. God bless you!!!

    Hello,

When treating a patient with ROSC that is bradycardic and hypotensive, would you fix the rate (pace) or go to fluid bolus and vasopressors first? Thank you in advance.

    • Jeff with admin. says

Fixing the rate would be the initial priority. If the patient does not quickly respond with rate correction then you would give a fluid bolus.

Start the inotrope and vasopressor, then give a 500 to 1000 ml fluid bolus, and connect the pacer in the case that you need to provide pacing for symptomatic bradycardia. You would also consider atropine in this situation.

(Note: whether or not you give a fluid bolus will depend on if the patient has any heart failure or other contraindications to fluids boluses.)

      Kind regards,
      Jeff

Will studying from this site differ from the Canadian Heart and Stroke training for ACLS? Contemplating signing up but live in Canada

    • Jeff with admin. says

I have a lot of Canadian customers and all of the feedback that I have received about the training is positive. I have never had anyone say that there was any conflicting information between the Canadian and the American Heart Assn. guidelines.

      Kind regards,
      Jeff

      Hi Irene,

I have started on a PALS course and have quite a bit done. However, the entire course will not be complete until around October 2017. You can find the PALS content here: Pediatric Advanced Life Support

You will find Knowledge base and practice tests for the Systematic Approach Algorithm, Respiratory Distress & Failure, and Pediatric shock.

      Kind regards,
      Jeff

Just passed my acls, with only 3 questions wrong. I was able to answer most of the questions my classmates couldn’t. The protocor was really impressed. Thanks!!
