      Hi Darwin,

Thanks for the question. You asked:

“Hi I’m from Belize,I’m currently a 3rd year nursing student and an EMT ..i really wanna do my ACLS but i don’t have the time to sit in a class room as yet so i wanted to do the online course . which is the best site that is AHA approved and granted to certify me as an EMT with ACLS? and if so can some kindly email me some ACLS options?”

      Reply:

At this time, there is no completely online AHA ACLS certification. This is because AHA requires a hands on skills station for the AHA ACLS certification.

You can learn more about Part 1 of AHA ACLS online here:

      Kind regards,

hi Jeff, I am hoping this program is not the cause of my extremely high Gigabyte useage. I don’t know how to download the program any differently than what i did. My last bill was for 78 G of data, on a 10 G plan. : (

Each video on the website has been optimized for the lowest bandwidth usage. Each video is only approx. 4 MB. If you watched all of the videos on the site, You would use less 160 MB. There are 1000 MB in 1 GB. I don’t see how it could be videos from the website that are causing 78 GB data usage.

      Kind regards,
      Jeff

This was my first time taking ACLS I have been a nurse for 35 years, I was so intimidated by it! I found your website and used it to study and today I passed! I will spread the word and tell everyone to go to your site to study, see you in 2 years!

Used this site 2 years ago and I’m doing it again. I also recommended this site to co-workers and I’ve been an ER nurse for over 28 years. But ACLS always makes me nervous so I love your site. Thank you,

I just have a difficult time learning by reading the manual and your site makes it easy and fun.. Thanks again- and wish me luck.I recertify in 1 week. Lisa

Hi! I just discovered this awesome website last night and I’m currently still browsing as I am planning to take an ACLS certification class by December but I want to be prepared by using the right materials. I wanted to know if there is also a book that I can order through this website? I was hoping that there would be materials included aside from all the online studying I can get from applying as a member. Thanks! 🙂

I’ve been a nurse for 20 years and spent the 5 years doing paperwork. Just went back to patient care (YAY!) and needed ACLS for the 1st time. The next class at my hospital was only 3 weeks away. I signed up for the 2 week crash. I would recommend your website in a heartbeat. Thanks for your help. I passed yesterday with flying colors.

    Hi Jeff,

Love the site and will take the ACLS course exam tomorrow!

One question just to clarify: I’m a nurse practitioner. As such, am I permitted to intubate with an ET tube per algorithm if I am ACLS certified? I’m thinking no, since I haven’t been trained on this. I assume as a code leader I would ask the MD or anesthesiologist to intubate the patient, correct?

    Thanks!

    JR

      Hi June,
I’m glad you like the site.

Whether you can intubate depends upon your facility’s guidelines or standard operating procedures. Some facilities authorize only MDs to intubate while others allow MDs, NPs, and RTs. If your facility does approve NPs, they would probably have an SOP detailing what training is required for you to be able to intubate. Anyone who is approved by the facility and has had proper training may intubate patients.

      Kind regards,
      Jeff

    Hi Jeff!
I’m a 17 year-old highschool student. I recently took the ACLS course and passed both the megacode and written test. I’m collecting my card tomorrow.
Do you think this will give me an advantage in applying for medical university in the UK?

    • Jeff with admin. says

I definitely will not hurt. Putting something like this on you entrance package would help you to stand out. It may be something that would put you just enough above the rest to get accepted when you might have been overlooked. Any experience like this is a clear positive for your entrance package.

      Kind regards,
      Jeff

Iam an RN with BSN, I am thinking about taking ACLS, which I think might look great on my resume. I work at a fast paced short term rehab unit not in a hospital setting would this help me get into critical care even though I am somewhat clueless?
