On # 9, if the witness sudden “cardiac arrest” was a pulseless asystole, would not the answer be effective chest compressions? What information are we given, that tells us it is a shockable rhythm? … btw … loving this website!
Jeff with admin. says
If is very unlikely that asystole will ever occur with witnessed sudden cardiac arrest. Asystole is the end product of a heart that has been compromised for quite some time. Witnessed cardiac arrest is sudden and the most common rhythms that will be seen with this are ventricular fibrillation and pulseless ventricular tachycardia.

Jeff

i failed to pass my ACLS written exam last week related i did not previewed well. now I am very hard for practice the quiz. I just wounder all the facility provide ACLS exam is the same?
Jeff with admin. says
The written exam for AHA certification will be the same wherever you take it. If you take time to prepare by using this site before you take the certification you should do fine. It appears that you subscribed at 11:30 pm on Nov. 23. This would not give you enough time to prepare for certification especially if you have not taken ACLS before. Use the site for at least 2 weeks. Read everything on the site, take every test and watch every video. You may have to do this twice. You will be ready after this. Please let me know if you have any more questions.
Kind regards,
Jeff
