I took the ACLS test yesterday and passed – I have to say it was a tough one! But thanks to this site, I was able to pass it with an 88
Thanks, Jeff, for helping us with this site. I couldn’t have done it without you!

Thanks for this website! I had my ACLS renewed and I was suprised to see how well I did against even obviously veteran critical care nurses. I even got a perfect score on the written exam.
During the entire review and megacode scenarios I knew everything that had to be done and was so confident in handling all the megacodes that I was assigned to as the leader.
Each one of us had to handle 4 megacodes each as leader and the preceptor even commented me on several occassions for decisions I had made during the megacode testing.
Again, this site makes taking the ACLS much more understandable.

I’m currently in ACLS and I have a question about the written exam….our instructors have told us that even though the CPR portion has been simplified, the written exam is 10 times harder…has anyone found this to be true? and any pointers on what specifically to study?? thanks!

I’ve been a nurse for 30 years and have been doing acls a long time. Your site is a great study guide and reference.. I took notes from your quizzes on the information that I was not familiar with . I reviewed and practiced all your tests until I got a 100 on all of them. Got 100 on my Acls test today and flew through the mega codes in ten minutes. Hope to keep updated with your site. i intended to use it again.
Thanks
Donna.

To all considering this site: YES!
To anyone thinking they can pass ACLS with ONLY this site: NO!
Success = This site + the AHA ACLS Precourse assessment + Studying the book + ACLS class itself, CAN equal success. You WILL need the book, and I suggest taking the AHA ACLS Precourse assessment once before you study, and at least once after you study, and once prior to the exam and Megacode to see where you are standing.
Just passed mine today with combining all four of these aspects. I know more, I’m more confident and I will again revisit this site a month prior to the next renewal. This has been a GREAT site! Keep up the excellent work. I’ve got at least 20 more RN’s who wished they knew about this site, and now they do.

My comment is after the fact: I took my ACLS exam last week. and thank heavens I actually did pretty good! however my anxiety level was through the roof though I spent many hours preparing for it. I regret not knowing the existance of your website it is fabulous! I covers all the concepts needed to succeed in ACLS.
I am considering becoming a member in order to have complete access to your website and check in every couple of months to review and keep the concepts fresh in my mind. Two years from re-certifying for the course again, won’t be as ardous and anxiety provocking.
Thank you Jeff for maintaining this website. (Will it still be up in 2014??)
Jeff with admin. says
Lord willing, the site will still be here in 2014. I am continually trying to improve the site and make it the best that it can be for all visitors.
Kind regards, Jeff

Would you consider a site for PALS as well?
It would be greatly appreciated.

it is WONDERFUL!! Testing next Saturday.

your website is a good supplemental tool to the book, but, i have read quite a few people post that their test contained many of the same questions asked on your website, WHAT TEST WERE THEY TAKING? i just took mine and NONE, ZIP, ZILCH WERE ON MINE.. i passed but only because i read the book and used your site to practice algorithms.

Ok I took my ACLS recert today. I studied this site like crazy, as well as my manuals. I have to say I love this site! It makes everything easier. I want to say though that the test contained some pretty stupid questions. I don’t see them in the manual, or anywhere. I totally was prepared for the algorithms, the drugs, and mega code, but for the stupid questions that I feel we’re not relevant to Acls. I messed up. I passed, but not by much. I couldn’t believe some of the questions!! I was angry at the test and myself. I felt so prepared. The written was a surprise. This was my 12th or 13th recert, I forget. I know this stuff, but OMG. Who thinks these up???
Joanne Hansen says
I agree. Some questions were from the perspective of the EMS crew prior to hospital arrival which I missed. I did well adding this site to the manual study guide. Thanks Jeff. Hope you will make other study sites for PALS as well.
